my wish
across the river
whose path
and my children
reciprocally altered
a tall tree
waved at me
from one trunk
sprouted two treetops
and mother nature
nor anyone else
ever scolded:
a tree cannot have two tops!
it thrived
most happily
it may be a buddhist philosophy, this concept of being confident in one’s own skin, as nature saw fit to make you who you are. it certainly is my wish to convey this message to my children.
